Hi! We hope you're well. I, (Esther) used to be just like you. Entirely and whole-heartedly against endogenic systems, or any "alternative" systems or plurality. But in January 2025, we were diagnosed with Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy (JME) at 18. And all I could think was "How can this be? I've never had any symptoms before. This doesn't make sense. It came out of nowhere." And when you're diagnosed with a life-long, debilitating condition, especially when you've gone 17 whole years of your life without anything showing for it, you realise how much we don't know of the brain. How fragile it is. How powerful it is. If JME is not detected in family lineage, we still have no idea how it forms!We would like you, if you will, to understand this. The brain is not limited to boundaries. It's only limited to what we do, and do not know about it. And thankfully, what we do know, is that tens, hundreds, thousands, potentially hundreds of thousands of people experience plurality that isn't defined strictly by what is scientifically proven. It's just that it's been so stigmatised, especially over the last 6 years, which discourages any professional research to be done.We hope you've at least opened your mind a little about alternative plurality, and that you can approach people that don't fit in the box of DID or OSDD with grace, understanding, and most important of all, knowledge.We do not discourage interaction with us, as long as you're kind and open-minded. Esther

Age/Body Age - 20Pronouns- She/herRole - HostDescription - Hi! I'm Esther, the Host of The Archive System. I go by Abyss online, and that's who you might recognise me as instead. Eliza

Age - Early 20's.Pronouns- She/herRole - Unknown.Description - Eliza is one of our more "independent" facets; similar to a fully-fledged alter. (See the Origin page for more information on Median/Mediple origins.) She's rather outgoing, kind, confident, fun to talk to! She is our most active facet.

Trevor

Age - 17.Pronouns- He/himRole - ProtectorDescription - Trevor has been actually been around for many, many years, (funny how you discover things!) He's a typical "nonchalant" personality type, but still kind, caring, etc. Trevor is more akin to a "standard" facet in a Median system.

Josephine

Age - Mid 20's (possibly)Pronouns- She/herRole - UnknownDescription - Josephine is quiet, reserved, conservative (In terms of fashion, speech, etc. NOT politically!) She is similar to somebody from the Victorian era. I, (Esther) watch and consume quite a bit of media from that era, and that particular media is likely where she stems from. She is more talkative when you get to know her. She is a "standard" facet of a Median system.

Michael Shelley

Age - Unknown.Pronouns- He/himRole - Persecutor (as far as we know)Description - Michael is a "The Magnus Archives" fictive from the podcast. A typical persecutor; a little rude, overly sarcastic, etc. Not too much is known about him beyond this. Seems to be a "standard" facet of a Median system.

Coyote

Age - No age.Pronouns- It/it'sRole - UnsureDescription - An animal facet that has seemingly been around for years. (Esther is not a therian! This is certainly a facet.) Used to be referred to as just 'canine' but seems to be, or at least resemble a coyote. Very animal-like, obviously. Almost feral. Is only active at night. This facet is more individual.

Tim Stoker

Age - Possibly 30'sPronouns- He/himRole - UnsureDescription - A "The Magnus Archives" fictive. Very eccentric, funny, charming. Has also seemed to be around for a long time at this point! Very social. If he's around, don't be afraid to say hi! Similar to Eliza, Tim is more individual than the others.
